Perfect Derma Peel Pre & Post Care
Prior To Appointment
Avoid any strong at-home facial treatments, chemical exfoliants, or professional peels 1 week prior to your appointment.
Discontinue use of retinoids, AHA/BHAs, acne medications, and other active topical products 5–7 days before your peel.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 1 week prior. Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily.
Wait at least 7 days after receiving injectables, dermal fillers, waxing, or laser treatments on the face.
Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup and heavy products.
First-time clients or those preparing for a special event are recommended to schedule their peel 6 weeks in advance, allowing time for a follow-up if needed.
After Care
Expect some redness, mild swelling, and light flaking or peeling over the first 3–7 days. This is normal and part of the rejuvenation process.
Avoid picking, scratching, or exfoliating the skin during the healing process.
Use only gentle, hydrating cleansers and moisturizers as recommended by your provider.
Avoid retinoids, AHA/BHAs, acne products, scrubs, enzymes, or any other active treatments for 7–10 days post-peel.
Avoid heat, steam, saunas, and strenuous exercise for up to 7 days to prevent irritation.
Stay out of direct sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
Makeup should be avoided until the skin is completely healed and no visible peeling or flaking present on the skin.
Postpone facial waxing, laser treatments, or other exfoliating services for 4 weeks after your peel.
